The 'Powder Puff' cactus gets it's name from the white hair-like spines. A freely clustering globular species that flowers frequently. Flowers are creamy-white, creamy-yellow or pinkish, funnel-shaped, up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) long, up to 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) in diameter, and appear in spring and summer. Bocasana will thrive if given plenty of light and free draining soil. Water well during summer, less in winter and allow soil to dry out between watering. Perfect for pots or a sunny, dry spot in the garden.
