Eriosyce - Neoporteria

Eriosyce - Neoporteria

Neoporteria cacti have a globular or cylindrical stem that can grow up to 15 centimeters tall and 8 centimeters in diameter. The stem is covered in a felted layer of spines, which can be white, gray, brown, or black. The spines are typically long and thin, but some species have shorter, more bristle-like spines.

Neoporteria cacti produce daisy-shaped flowers that can be pink, red, orange, or yellow. The flowers bloom in the spring or summer and can last for several days.

Neoporteria cacti are relatively easy to care for. They prefer full sun or partial shade and a well-draining soil mix. Water them sparingly during the summer months and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In the winter, reduce watering even further.
